It was nice to see Kirsten Butler again at the Bristol Vintage Wedding fair,we did a fair with her at the paintworks last year. Shellac Sound

When the bands weren't playing we had the delight of listening to the music from the 1920's,30's and 40's on original wind-up gramophones. As a dancer you can imagine my toes tapping happily away. Ooo don't we just love those old 78's! Even though i manage to snap as many as i play on my Dansette at home!

Shellac sound is Matt Jones and Kate Wright ,gramophone enthusiasts from Bristol and i recomend there music and atmophere they create.

I had a lovely day at the Vintage Wedding Fair yesterday with Claire from the Wilde Bunch. We had our stands joined together to showcase our work, and even though i say so myself it all looked beautiful!
We met lots of other talented people and i'll be posting photos and setting up links with these for you to look at and find.

There was a real buzz and plenty of people,and live bands for us upstairs to enjoy which really created a the perfect ambiance. The above picture is Claire's hanywork from The Wilde Bunch.

Knicker MaKing Parties

Flo-jo's first Hen Knicker making Party is now set for May in conjunction with the lovely ladies of Cox and Baloney who tailor make vintage themed parties....vintage hair styling, tea n cakes, a bit of fizz, knickers, lace and frills it looks set to be a fun afternoon!!!

The Stall!

Think it must have been the sunshine this afternoon and the glimpse of bunting as i cycled into town that made me remember The Stall. This is how Flo-jo began way back in 2004!

Knicker Making at the Folk House

We're really pleased to be linking up with the lovely people at the Bristol Folk House on Park st.
I've just come back from a meeting and we're gong to be running  two workshops on saturday 14th of May. The first one will be a basic knicker making  session and the second will be for the slightly more advanced ,as its turning a vintage silk scarf into a pair of beautiful pants. Up-cycling at its best!
The sewing places get booked up quickly so get in touch with them soon if you want a place.
